Feasibility Study for a Company of Construction Materials in the GCC

Client

We performed a feasibility and growth strategy for British waterproofing and insulation companies to increase GCC presence.

Issue

Our client was one of the largest UK-based companies in the field of waterproofing and insulation products. The company had a minimal presence in the GCC, so that they hired YCP Solidiance to look into alternative options that would increase operations and presence in the GCC.

Solution

YCP Solidiance carried out a comprehensive feasibility analysis, including financial, economic, and organizational elements that provided new entry and growth opportunities.

Approach

We arranged a team of experienced GCC consultants on the site to perform a detailed feasibility study of alternative entry options while evaluating competition (including value chain, capacity, and networks, market strategy, regional scope), distribution, pricing, and raw material availability. Our team also traveled and visited all GCC areas and systems to capture the sector’s full mapping.

Engagement ROI

The client was provided with a detailed feasibility review of the different alternatives, including market share penetration and growth model to 2020, and a comprehensive analysis of the demand for waterproofing and insulation materials. The findings were presented to national and regional heads who acknowledged these findings as reflective of reality, helpful with practical suggestions, and precise in what they need to penetrate and develop over the next five years.
